    Thanks for the welcome guys. Do you think a flurocarbon leader should be used with the braid? Just wondering about the visibility factor. Or should I only worry about this on clear water?

    I have a 7ft MH/ fast action shimano compre spinning rod and was thinking of using it for soft plastics mostly is weeds and heavy cover. What line should I pair with this rod for this application? I was think 12lb mono but not sure yet. Any suggestions? Also have a 6'6" hvy power fast action st.croix premier casting with a calcutta. What would it's best application be? Thanks
