  1. Why not park at BeaverCreek Dam and walk the trail to the dam. From the looks of good maps, the creek isn't far from it.
  2. Went there from 7:45am to 9:30am and got zippo. No bites no nada. Threw shaky head, spinner and Rat-L and nada. Did see a bunch of Carps slapping the water by the shore though. They were huge. I think that's it for me at that place. It's hard to fish there from the shore with so many snag traps. To be fair, I've only tried it from the side from wagon trail road. I haven't tried the other side yet because I don't know how to get there.
  3. There's a third road below Mt Hope Road but I never been there before. You can access the Dam from the Resevior Rd by walking the path along the eletrical lines. I'm not sure from the otherside but there seems to be a neighborhood close to it also. Has anyone parked there before? I seen the kids walk from that direction before. I went out there last night and caught my only bite. A 3-4 lb carp on a shaky head. At least I'm no longer skunk there hahah. Anyone fished Goose Creek by the damm? I hear SMB's are there.
  4. I saw this boat on the show "Made in America". Mind if I ask how much was the price and where did you get it?
  5. They are actually a delicacy in vietnam for sure. I remember seeing it on Anthony Bourdain's show when he traveled there. The dish looked pretty good I'm sure it's someone's pet who was let go after it grew too big.
  6. Where are the road beds and that bridge I hear about that's under water? I've been skunked there the last 3 times so I'm determined to get one there I haven't been back since before that week of rain. I never noticed any problems I been there but then again, I don't have anything in my truck. The DIGF folks are definately out there. I got checked twice and each time, the officer walked a long ways to get to us.
  7. When you are talking about the trails being flooded, do you guys mean the trail you walk on from the parking lot off Wagon Trail ln? When I went there before the rain, the only spots I saw by the stumps where this small trail to the right and on the rocks off the bank after that. Do you guys go into the woods where the lake starts?
  8. I was there from 10am to 12pm with my friends and we got stunked. I even loss my spinner on the last cast! Man, when you guys said stumps, you weren't kinding! hahah I did catch a nice 3lb 4oz at the potomac earlier though
  9. Can't tonight. I might hit it this saturday in the mid morning though. good luck tonight
  10. Where can you park around there? I see a circle parking spot at DeerLee Dr. What about Wagon Trail Ln? I see a dirt path from there to the lake. Can you take a SUV on it?
  11. I'm curious on where the stumps are also. That lake is about 30 mins from my house.
  12. Yea I saw that in the other thread but I have friends who live there ;
  13. Anyone know of spots for LMB/SMB in that area? I know of BeaverDam Creek and Ashburn village. Has anyone tried the South Riding pond/lake (the one right on rt50). Does it hold any thing? There seems to be alot of little ponds around that community.
  14. I've seen a Jon boat in there before but you'll have to carry it to the Resevoir. I don't believe there's any launching places I've seen from Mt Hope or the other side. Mt Hope has a bigger parking spot so you should be able to fit it there.
  15. Hoo are you eh? I'm determine to catch a fish there. I can' t be skunked. I did go at the wrong times though. Usually in the cold and afternoon.. I'll try early morning next time.
  16. When end do you access the the resevoir from? I went there yesterday and got skunked but my friend caught a 1lb 8oz one in the cove to the right of resevoir rd. That place has not been kind to me. 0 for 3 trips for me. Maybe I stink but seems like white spinenrs are the only thing that works there. We tried fishing at the dam and got no bites what so ever. My friend is much better fishermen than me and he got nothing. Any tips would help. I need to catch something to save face :'(
  17. Just wanted to chime in but I'm another Nova fisherman new to the board. My friend and I fish along the shore so any good shore spots please share for the unfortunate ones like us who don't have a boat I'll throw out a spot we like which is ft belvior. The bass are starting to come around to that spot. Last week we caught a couple of 1.5 lber's but one guy there caught a 5 lb from shore. Has anyone fished BeaverDam Creak up in Ashburn area? We're heading out there today to see what's it like.
