never seen a lot of presure on it. at the most i've seen 4 other boats on it over a weekend day. talked to a guy that says his neighbor took a 9lber out of it. have not seen many bigger fish. seen one that looked to be about 4 lbs

ok, i have this 50-60 acre lake that is pretty clear, which is odd for sw fl, and deep in some parts. I fish it all the time. I catch fish in it all the time. tonight, between my cousin and I we caught 20 and probably lost another 10. NOTHING of any size. I caught one tonight that my senko was bigger than him. Im fishing senkos, spinner baits, cranks, top water...Im throwing everything I have. What am I doing wrong? I want to catch something a little bigger, any advise on how or what to throw. I don't have a depth finder to find the dropoffs, but can see some of them. Hell Ive even tried jigs...I actually caught on a jig, but he was a little one.

wife and i were fishing the other day and she catches a small one....i hear her say ooooooo its pooing on me...i laugh and look at the fish.. i say its not pooing..its got a hook stuck out of its a..hole. barb still inside of the fishes hole. grab a pair of pliers and pull it out. actually saw the fish smile afterward.

took my cousin and started at 8am at my favorite pond. its about 50 acres and pretty clear and very deep in some spots. between the two of us we caught 22. nothing of size. biggest was probably 1 - 1.5. it got real hot today and we fished till about 3. dropped him off and drove toward home. almost home and decided to hit a 5 acre pond around the corner from my house. Caught a few smallies. Wind was kicking and pushing my jon into the corner. Threw my senko out near some trees that were hanging in the water, wind still pushing my boat closer to shore. turned my attention to moving the boat back a little, then i notice my rod tip go thump thump then i hear zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz as the line is being pulled off. I set the hook and start reeling. line still being pulled out, throw it in reverse and start pulling in some line and i see her belly up near the surface. d**n it was big. i was yelling "get it in the boat". I notice i was fishing alone, felt stupid. Anyway got her in the boat. It was the biggest fish i have ever caught. my cheap 5 dollar scale said 7lbs on the dot. don't know how accurate the scale is. going to weight the wife's dog tonight to see. I have pics but cant get them from my phone to computer....I'll try to get them up.

where is holiday park?

i want to bring my jon boat down to the glades to do some bassin. my question is, where can i launch my boat....I've seen the places on I75 near the east toll booths...is this where to go? Thanks Jamie

I have a 12 jon boat and have wanted to fish the glades for while, thing is I don't know where to launch it and where to fish. can either of you give some adivse. Thanks in advance jamie

driving up and picking my new to me 2005 stratos 285 with a 150 yammy 4stroke. can't wait to get back and take it fishing....now i just have to sell my jon boat to make room in the garage

got out on a local lake today. The lake is proabably 35 acres big, crystal clear and very deep in some spots. got out about 830. first i started using a black with white stripped torpedo, caught three back to back out over open water. bite slowed down with that so I put on a laminet senko...caught one. switched to a gold torpedo and started tearing them up. ended up with 17 bass, the largest being about 3 lbs. fishing partner caught 5. best numbers on my boat yet!!

found a 05 stratos 285 with a 150 yamaha on it. anyone have any information or reviews on this boat

may not be getting the boat....talked to seller and he has someone coming from a pretty good distance away today. I couldn't get off work so it may sell today or tomorrow before i get a chance to look at it >. anyway thanks for the replies jamie

found an 07 triton 186 in my area for about 14k. it has a merc 150 on it with about 25 hrs. anyone have any experiences with this boat? good deal on the price? going to take a water ride on it this weekend.

been looking here for sometime now. just thought i would introduce myself. i started bass fishing in western Ky with my dad and uncle...fishing the strip mines...good times. moved to sw fl back in the late 80's...haven't really fished alot until now. i tried the salt water thing...but its just not in me. i live in punta gorda and have a sweet little creek outside of my community. i bought a 12 foot jon boat and drive it across the street anytime i get a chance. nothing over 3lbs in there yet but im trying. anywho...HELLO everyone stay safe jamie
