    Thanks for your replies, yep the lower unit. I think i need to buy a bass boat for dummies book. I hate not knowing anything about something. Thanks again.

    Sorry to ask such a dumb ? but I just bought my boat 2 weeks ago and haven't got a manual yet. My motor is a 115hp Mercury and it is either low or out of lube and i have no idea how much to buy.
