    I take it most marine places will know all about 27 deep cycles and 185 reserve amps. Sorry guys I am new to the boating thing, I just don't want to buy the wrong thing. Minn Kota makes ("recommends") a fuse box or whatever for about $24.99. Does that sound about right? Thanks for the help

    Recently we have purchased a Pelican predator 10ft 2-man bass boat. Our primary and ONLY source of power will be coming from a Brand New Minn Kota 55lbs trolling motor. #1-Exactly What type/size (amps) of Battery do we need for this motor? #2-Do we need a surge protector for this trolling motor. The only other electronics will be a small fish finder? Any true knowledge or professional advice welcome!
