  1. 9lb 11oz would also be a NICE sized bass!
  2. Thats how I roll.... w/2 people in boat and a good school its possible...plus the story has to be stretched a bit just like any other "fish story"!
  3. Any good stories on 2 bass caught on the same cast? Here's mine: I was chasing shad in the main lake, about 60'deep, and here comes the bass, striper, and hybird bass all in the same school. Biggest school Ive ever seen, the water turned black it was so big. I had a jerkbait tied on, and tossed it, we must have caught 25-30 fish in 2 min, but the best cast was a 2.5 lb bass and a 1.5 lb striper on the same bait (trable hooks). We lost the tourney by 2 oz...had a good time though!
  4. Well, no pictures this time, Ill get some at Murray this weekend...I went to a few hotels and talked to a few guys, but since Fri was cancelled, and I called Jason Willamson and no one was on BIG stringers, I fished the rest of the weekend with one hit and I missed it. I did se a few more guys at Blacks Camp in Cross, SC, and they wernt on anything either. We will see how Lake Murray ends up this weekend. Got a golf tournament tomorrow...then to the lake for the weekend...Ill post pics if I go to weigh in.
  5. OK, Here we go...this thread might answer mine and alot of others questions. I have a 1988 Hydra-Sports VS 150 T (18'), 150hp Black Max Merc, jack plate, tilt/trim, 24p stainless prop 3-blade, hot foot throttle. Here are the problems..... 1) Any speed under 40mph, the boat jumps jumps up and down 2) The prop cavitates when cornering hard, and hard throttle at low speeds. 3) The rooster tail is very wide and tall (loosing performance) Here is what I've done to correct it... 1) "Whale Tail" fin on foot 2) Dropped motor 3/4" down on jack plate This corrected the jumping problem, but I lost ALOT of top speed, and the cavitation is worse. Any Suggestions?
  6. Any suggestions for a 12/24V trolling motor for my Hydra-Sports 18' Bass Boat?
  7. Anyone following this at Lake Moultrie, SC? I'm going to follow some pros tomorrow-sun, and go to the weigh in.
  8. Lived here my whole life (28 yrs), and have never heard of that school, a few old schools around here have turned into libraries or other facililties...I like this area...5 major lakes and Savannah River within 1-2 hrs from home
  9. I have a house on Moultrie, and fish the area VERY often... Any tips on this weekend, or anyone know where the Open guys will be?
  10. Anyone else from the Aiken, SC area?
