  1. Thanks , I'll give that a shot
  2. I took the rub rail off with no luck.
  3. OK, When you said under the rub rail I was hoping you were referring to it being literally under the rub rail but what I think you're referring to is the US Coast Guard required location of the right-rear of the transom for all marine vessels. I am looking for the second, hidden HID.
  4. Thats good to know. I just pulled back the rub rail on the left side of the boat, I may as well pull the entire thing! I wouldn't have ever looked there. Thanks for the advice
  5. I see that you're in Boston, so this answer isn't for you but rather anyone in the midwest. I found the best prices bar-none for aftermarket swivel seats, bases, etc at Mills Fleet Farm
  6. I recently purchased a registered but untitled Astroglass 195v, supposedly 1977. A couple problems, one I don't believe Astroglass made the 195v in 1977 and two, the haul ID is TOTALLY off. The trans HID is completely invalid so I am looking for the hidden HID. I've looked everywhere I can think of but no luck. Does anyone know where it may be?
  7. I have a mid 80's 195v Astroglass with a 97 Mariner 150efi and love the setup. I bought it on a deal I couldn't refuse but I have some steering problems myself. Let me know how the replacing the steering box works out for you
