Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forums, and basically bass fishing in general. I'm from new york and i live on oneida lake (google it!)
I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on how to get the real hosses out of the marina near my house. It basically has 3 inlets, about 50 feet long where the boat slips are. inlet one is long with heavy vegitation ie. lily pads, grass and moss (this inlet isnt used anymore for boat docks) . inlet 2 and 3 are both heavily used so vegitation isnt a problem. The water is usually pretty murky, but it can get clear in the summer time. these inlets are probably about 8-10 feet at the center, 2-3 feet at the edge. there are some drainage pipes which pump run-off from the road into the marina that i usually get some big bass out of aswell.
I usually use strike king spinner baits or tsunami crank baits...are these the right kinds to use? I try to throw the line out in the center and angle it around some lily pads. the biggest i've gotten out of here was a 7lb large mouth, caught on a yellow strike king spinner bait. Today i lost my 2 best lures so i'm wondering what to replace them with.... i'm 15 years old so i need to pick the very best, as i need quality not quantity!
Thanks guys! ;D 8)
