  1. You simply need them to locate off shore locations on Erie. Subtle changes can result in good concentrations of smallmouth.

  7. Hello! Use the basics. Work the water column. Get good maps of the lakes and fish those structure/cover types conducive to bass at the appropriate season of the year. Break the lake down into a manageable section. you'll get on the bite!
  8. Dropshot a tube or 4" worm.
  9. Guy's what i'm thinking is we can use this post as a message board for those of us who want to go to good smallmouth spots. i fish erie and would like to fish some of the other great lakes as well as other waters. what are your choices? as i said when i posted, it's hard to find people who follow through w/ plans. i'm thinking 2 guys-1 boat, 4 guys-2 boats...u get it. what's your top destination?
  10. Let's start a group of guys who are willing to travel to fish good smallmouth waters. Boat owners/non-boat owners. Work out some equitable travel exspense agreement, where to go,for how long,when...u guys get the idea. You all know how difficult it is to find dedicated, dependable guys to travel/fish with. Let the ideas roll....let's do this!!!!!
  11. welcome tom... the guys here all seem very nice, very helpful!
  12. Where have you caught your heaviest smallmouth (weighed by scale)?
  13. thanks for the links. interesting to say the least. however, "the written word tends to stretch the truth whereas reality tends to shrink it.".....oliver wendell holmes
  14. Fished the eastern basin last week. did well on 4#ers. water temp was 50-51. the fish are starting to pull up from the deep. going again next week......weather unstable this week....
