Why can't you put wax on the hull?

I have a 997c. If anyone has one can you tell me, if you are looking at the navigation screen and as you are boating across the lake does the map automatically scroll as the boat moves along close to the edge of the screen. My boat icon disappears off the map and I have to go to my arrow button to scroll ahead of the boat icon just to keep it on the screen. Then when it gets to the edge of the screen it disappears, then I have to scroll the map forward. For the amount of money these things cost. I can't imagine you have to do this manually. I called Hummingbird but a lady helped me and she sounded like she didnt even know what she was talking about. Help? Thanks Jack :-?

I've seen more than a few guys use spray furniture wax polish on there bass boats. New ones at that. Anyone know if this can damage the finish on a boat after a while?

In need of a Co-Angler to link with myself (boater) who wants to fish the southeast schedule of the Bassmaster Weekend Series. This guarantees me a co-angler on my boat during the tournament. If I don't link up and they don't have enough co-anglers for boaters than I have to fish with another boater. Please help. thanks jack
