How can I tell what type of paint is on there right now?

My buddy and I picked up a 14' aluminum boat and plan on putting a deck in it. We are both good carpenters and have done this before, so the insides of the boat shouldn't be a problem. The outside of the boat however is an old, yellow-green-white-brown color. It's good paint that is still sticking fine, but everytime I look at it I throw up in my mouth. ;D Can we just scuff this paint and paint over it? Or do we have to strip all the paint and start over? If that is the case? What do we need to buy and what are the costs going to be? Thanks

I had a small budget so I ended up getting the Hummingbird 110 Portable Fish finder. Very good for fishing off docks and my jon boat. You could look it up and see if it is what you're looking for. It's very portable.

Sunflower seeds and Iced tea. I was told by an older fisherman that spitting my seed shells into the water is bad cause the fish can smell my scent. I catch the same amout of fish or lack of fish ;D with or without them. What do you guys think? I can understand where he is coming from, but I don't think I'm a good enough angler to have such a small detail make a difference. Lol

I did exactly what you are talking about on my 12' fiberglass. It isn't tipsy at all. I can't post pics cause I'm new though. Someone remind me soon and I'll try to post some.
