  1. Yeah, goldfish are a definite no-no in florida but I do hear they work great. My brother lived in Texas for a while and they would use sand mice as bait for both bass and redfish. Small tilapia work here in Southeast Florida as well as shiners.
  2. Thanks for the info fellas! Got a couple other questions regarding this. Do you think the fish can see the braided line floating in front of the frog? And does floro line float?? Thanks
  3. Should I use a floro leader when fishing topwater baits on braided line? I use 20-30lb powerpro and was wondering if I needed to use a leader when fishing a topwater frog or if I could just tie my braid directly to the lure since it floats. I appreciate your input! Thanks
  4. Thanks for all the input! Sounds like using a leader is the way to go.
  5. Hi everyone! I'm somewhat new to bass fishing and I have a question regarding braided line. I mostly fish inshore saltwater so most of my rods are loaded with 20lb braid. I recently started fishing the small lakes and canals here in Miami and was wondering if I should be using a flouro leader. The water here is pretty clear and shallow for the most part. I'm also somewhat agressive when it comes to tossing lures in the reeds and grass. Any info would help as I'm going to the local lake tomorrow. Thanks!
