Talon Feedback
Hope everyone is having a great Friday! Just got a new boat this week and it is equipped with the 12' Talons. I was wondering if people who have Talon have had an increase in catches due to it? I've yet to have a day with wind here to really try it out, while fishing. Looking forward to fishing docks, pads, and shorelines when I get my first windy day. You know if I didn't have Talon we would have had tropical storms winds here this week LOL.

Minn Kota Talon
One final question. Would you guys say your percentages went up with the Talon as far as catching goes?

Minn Kota Talon
Thanks for the scoop! I am getting the 12'. I figure, why not. I'm buying a brand new boat, what an extra $100 some dollars for two extra feet on the Talon!

Minn Kota Talon
Thanks for the scoop fellas! I'm looking forward to using it. I don't tournament fish and I live on a small lake so I'm guessing only needing one is probably best. I have a feeling my percentages will go up thanks to the Talon. The promotional vids Minn Kota has on their website and Youtube channel are impressive!

Minn Kota Talon
I'm looking to purchase a new boat within the next month. I was looking for input on the Talon if possible. On paper, it sounds like a perfect concept. I have a feeling I won't drift and I'll get more and accurate casts into areas holding fish. The gentleman I'm buying the boat off of suggested I only buy one Talon because my boat will only be 16 feet and I live on a small lake with no heavy boat traffic. Would you guys agree? He clearly could get another $1,000 out of me by insisting I need a second, so I respect him not trying to take advantage. Is the Talon worth the hype? A big part of me can't wait to find out!

Will The Minn Kota E-Drive Ruffle Feathers?
Thank you for the scoop gentlemen! Tim great points regarding the wake!

Will The Minn Kota E-Drive Ruffle Feathers?
Thank you. I am asking because I've never seen an E-Drive perform. All of the videos on line show the motor out of water. I would assume it produces a decent amount of wake.

Will The Minn Kota E-Drive Ruffle Feathers?
Good evening everyone! I am looking to purchase a 16' bass boat. The lake, which I live on (been a resident here for 30 years), does not allow gas powered outboards and no fuel tanks on board a boat. My plan is to purchase my boat without a gas powered engine and have a Minn Kota E-Drive installed instead. Even though I am following the rules, will this set-up agitate people? It will be the largest boat on the lake and the first of its kind to have E-Drive and a steering console. I don't plan on using full power if anyone is fishing, kayaking, or doing any other leisure activities in my general area. I was looking for input. Thank you and best of luck on the water!

Thanks for the input! What type off tool would you use to clip the barb off?

Hooks and Gills
This morning I caught a gorgeous largemouth on a spinnerbait. The good news is he crushed it. The bad news is that he engulfed it so much that the trailerhook got into his gills. I didn't even touch the hook and the fish was bleeding. I cut the spinnerbait off and released the fish with the spinnerbait in his mouth. I knew if I touched the trailerhook the fish would bleed to death. Minutes after releasing the fish I could see him breaking water trying to shake the spinnerbait loose. Will this fish live? Did I do the right thing? I remember reading that bass have an acid in their bodies that will dissovle hooks. It was a beautiful fish and the last thing I wanted to do was kill it.
