  1. Thanks Mudpuppy! I talked to a guy today who said he could fix it for me. It'll only cost about 45 bucks! Whew! Rip-a-Lip, Casey
  2. I've got a problem...went fishing yesterday. Today when I got home, my lower unit had leaked oil out all over the driveway. It has a small gouge in the side with a pin hole just big enough to let the oil run out. It is toward the nose about even with the water intakes. I know I went over some stumps yesterday but not fast at all. Anyway, my question is can this be welded back? Do I have to remove the unit to have it done? My buddy had a similar problem and fixed with JB weld but it only lasted about a year. Please help...I need the boat next weekend! ??? Rip-A-Lip, Casey
  3. If I'm tourney fishing, I leave the hook in...incidentally, I have caught several fish on Lake Fork with hooks already in their throats. They seemed happy and healthy. If I'm just fishing for fun and the hooks point is exposed I cut the hook and then pull out both halves. If it's not exposed, I just cut as much of the hook off as I can and let r go! 4. I gotta agree with roadwarrior on this one...Use the bigger lures. I love fishing ponds because you are almost guaranteed some fish. This is why I take my wife and son there... They throw tiny H&H spinner baits and catch a lot of fish but no big ones. We went this past friday, they both caught 10 in like 30 mins. I caught 1 but he was 8lbs!!! 10" Lake Fork Tackle worm in "blue bruiser" color. ;D
  5. Hey Everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to the forum. I was primarily posting on another forum but it's gotten overrun with a bunch of kids or something...Anyway, I'm originally from Louisiana, born and raised there. Now I live in TX east of Dallas. I've been bass fishing for nearly 23 years at least. I'm not pro, but I enjoy tournaments and usually do okay in them. I fish Lake Fork about once a week as it's 45 minutes from my house. Other than that feel free to ask any questions...I look forward to getting to know everyone here and I hope that I can impart some knowledge as well as receive some. Take Care! Rip-a-Lip, Casey
