Thanks I was looking at a1996 mercury 9.9 hp outboard for $300. I want to use it to fish the coves of lake Murray which are pretty big but I want to be able to get to the backs of them so I will definately get some kind of trolling motor to go along with it.

I just redid a 12 foot jon boat and was trying to decide between an 8hp 4hp or 50lb thrust trolling motor. Any expert opinion?

I have fished this pond with every lure in my tackle box. Spinnerbaits, Crawdads, Jigs, Crankbaits, Jerk Minnows, Spoons, Swimbaits, Creaturebaits, Buzzbaits, poppers, jitterbugs, frogs, torpedos, and flukes. Nothing works but worms, not even tubes. Any suggestions?

I fished this lure on lake Murray for the first time and caught 22 bass in 3 hours. The next week I went back to the lake and didnt catch anything. Since that first day i havent been able to catch a thing anywhere with it. Any one have and idea why?
