  1. I will try the topwater in the AM and let you guys know what happens. Have a feeling there are some big fish sitting there that no one has gotten to. Should I be sitting there right as the sun comes up??
  2. Thanks. I was thinking about getting after it early in the morning. I bought some 10 inch worms today but when I got out on the water, I think my hook was a bit small for it. What size hook should I use?? Should I weight it at all?? What color?? I have read black is always a good one and also read to try and match the water to the worm so I bought light green color worms. I also tried a yellow spinner bait but got caught up a lot in the weeds.
  3. First off, great forum!! Question for you guys.... I have recently gotten back into fishing after balancing a ridiculous workload and plan on doing much more in the near future. Spent the day driving around a lake by my house and dropped a canoe in to check it out. I am going to put you guys to the test here and explain the situation and take you guys up on the advice you give. I'll report back with any success. The lake is a good size lake in Pasco County FL. It is very clear with a ton of seaweed. Not sure how deep it is but guess it has some depth to it. Not many homes on the lake at all and there are quite a bit of cattails/lilly pads and some really good looking places where I have a gut feeling about. Near the sore there is a ton of seaweed which comes to the surface and gets a bit thick at times. I spotted a few very large bass and made a ton of casts today with not much luck. It has been very hot here during the day and did not see much movement at all around noon and started to see some action this evening around 7PM. I saw one of the large bass laying in a sandy spot near the cattails around noon and say a very large fish about 10 feet off the cattails where the seaweed was about 10 deep. Clear lake. Tons of seaweed near shore. Looking for a large catch. Have caught plenty of 2-5lbs but never hooked a big one. Help me out!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I will report back with results.
