  3. Hi I am on a smaller inland lake 30 acres or so.It is 80 feet deep in the center lots of steep banks. In the shallower areas we get heavy pond weed and suspended algae mats (chara) I fish a lot of tube jigs and worms, we have fairly good production in the shallows but I am looking for suggestions for deeper water and possible better in the grass. The grass will get 8 feet tall or so before it detaches. getting hung up is a regular issue. Thank you Paul
  4. Hello I have been fishing my same lake for quite a few years, it seems hard to fish to me. I do well but not as well as I fell I should. The lake is 25 acres and 140 feet deep. There is heavy grass and pads all aroung the shore. I do Ok in tere with Purple and black 6 inch worms no weight or tube jigs. I run them on top and drop into holes where I can.I am foever getting weeds caught on my worms or tube jigs. When I fish a little deeper the grass is thick and deep as well, 3 feet under the surface the grass is as deep as 5-6 feet. So any plastic bait I run sits on the grass and gets tangled in it. When I run crank baits they are always hung up on stray pieces of grass.Spinner baits are the same and I always am picking up the damm pike. Any ideas will be great. Thank you!!
  5. Thanks again I will post a few picks after the weekend ,I pull big ones all the time just want to get more!!!!
  6. Thanks for all the help.Alot of what you say I do, but lipless caranks only in the early spring before the weeds, the lake is 80 feet deep on the shelf, some 12 feet deep there are 6 foot long weeds and thick,I have tried to run heavy weight with like you have said but I simply cannot do it with ount pulling up a gob of weeds. dropping stright down sounds intresting to me,I want to try it but do you think in that thich it will work out? Please explain in more detail.
