I tend to have the most success out there by hitting the "backwoods" points with t-rigged plastics. The shorelines closest to the parking lots tend to get beat to hell, so if you don't mind a trek, you should be able to catch a few.
I like to fish the southern lakes (Coot, Bluestem, Bodarc) because they offer plenty of cover, and you might check out Plover, working down the dam and around the corner to the two points. Usually it gets overrun with algae by mid-summer, but I'd still give it a look.
The only other advice I have is to watch the weather forecast. If you go within a few days of a storm, expect the trails to resemble swamps.
