  1. I have had a similiar thing happen like that when I was trout fishing. I virtually tried everything in my tackle box but then I finally started to hook up. I used small baits. I used a 1/32 skirt jig and I began to kill'em. Not saying bass will do the same but its worth a shot.
  2. Define skunked. I mean I bet a lot of us have been skunked in a new pond or lake. Now for bass, yeah I have been skunked. My friend was catching these little bass on some little mino lure he bought, I could of went that route but like everyone else I am looking for the bigger fish. Its hard not to get skunked when you are trying new waters or fish for a few hours at a time. Bass are tough sometimes and being skunked is part of bass fishing and learning new techniques.
  3. I have pretty much heard it all from dark colors in murky water to bright colors in clear water and the other way around. I have tested both methods and its funny, I used a red/shad worm yesterday in murky water and caught fish. Is there a rule of thumb for this or is it just the fishmans choice?? Tell me what you think or used in these situations. I would like to have a better idea in what to use and when.
  4. Sorry to hear about your brother but here is a little advice to make your day on the water better. I love Zoom's baby brush hog plastics, texas rigged. Junebug with size 3 hook. Also I use a lot of jigs when its fairly hot out, work fallen trees and so on. I would throw some spinner baits to see how aggressive the fish are that day and work from there. Good luck and if you dont have those Baby Brush Hogs get them, you wont be disappointed, they are my go to bait. Good luck. 8-)
  5. The crab was pretty simliiar to the one in the photo. I think the water way is a run off from the Ches. Bay. I know in Florida they had some run offs from the bay and I had some luck in catching bass but like you said the salt content might be a problem. I think I caught a white bass yesterday. Take a look
  6. I have been fishing this little water way behind the golf course and haven't been successful. Caught quite a few crabs which do nothing but frustrate me. > I have thrown top water baits, jigs, worms, and other plastics, nothing. It seems like a great spot for them but I am not sure now. Any ideas how to actually figure out if there are any present?
  7. no but I can get one if need be.

  9. How you all doing? I am new to MD, I live in Annapolis and I am not sure where to bass fish around here. I moved from Florida and I was a little spoiled there. Nothing but bass. Trying to get in a few trips before the summer is up or trying to find a fishing hole close to home. Thanks all.
