Reading this forum really makes me get motivated. Just hearing about everyone's catch and talking about their new lures and techniques gets me craving to go fishing! I really don't need any motivation though, it's just the forum puts me over the top excited.

WOW! That is crazy! Did you still get the plastics and new reel?

How well do the "lure retrievers" work for fishing from the bank? I wasn't sure if you kind of have to be on top of the lure such as in a boat to get the retriever to go all the way down to the lure or does it work like zip line? Am I making sense? Thanks

All I was grabbing last night was some plastic worm rattles (never used them and wanted to try them). My fianc ée immediately seen me sneaking them into the basket and said "NO! ENOUGH ALREADY! This is getting !@#$&^ ridiculous!!!" That was that. :'( I'll gladly let you buy me something!

Anyone else seem to have this problem? Every time I go in a store with fishing equipment I seem to always leave with something. I always have to look through the selection and then I end up buying more than I need. Too many unopened packages!!! Am I the only one? Surely not... :

So even though he doesn't have the hook in his mouth yet, you jerk anyway...? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Waiting and letting him take it sure always brings me good results.

I wait. I don't want to take the chance of jerking when the fish only has a small portion of the tail in his mouth. Jerking right when I feel something always ends up in a failure.

I have fished from the shore all my life so far, but I'm only 18...so I got time. ;D

I catch channelcat and carp all the time on my spinners when fishing for bass.

Bass are too beautiful to kill. 8)
