  1. My buddy will pitch and flip and it seems only in every other nice spot. If he sees me ignoring what he is giving me, which is a chance, he starts hitting them all. I couldn't ask for a more sporting fishing buddy. Although if he beats me out I have to hear about it. I mean hey he gave me the opportunity, right?
  2. Fishinfool check your PM's I can't post a pic my firewall here at work wont allow me to upload to myfishingpictures.com so .... I have a '64 fiberglass john boat converted with a front deck made out of aluminum with a swivel seat It works really well for me. I'll try to post a pic fromanother source but if not I can email it.
  3. Welcome to the forum NC BF. I'm in upper part of SC and plan on hitting wylie a few times this season. You near it?
  4. You should be safe butmy doctor suggested I go with a regular seat to keep down prostate issues. Kind of like a bike rider issues. Pressure in certain areas causing damage in the long run.
  5. Ok guys, On the TV show overhaulin they redid an old 64 vette. When they were working on it a guy was spraying some kind of conditioner for the fiberglass and he said it was in such a dried out state it was just soaking up the stuff. I have an "old" FG boat and I want to make sure everything is ok. Do you guys know what it was and if it is needed on a boat? Thanks
  6. I found a real good one on Cabela's website. Cost me $39 and can be taken out and used to fill up the cooler and then after weigh in it can be used again to drain over the side. link Can also be used as an emergency sump if you get a little swamped or fish in a downpour.
  7. I would figure with WD-40 being petroleum based it is in effect the same as dipping your bait into some 10w-30 havoline and then fishing it. If you look at the real fish attractants out there they are water based or like vegtable oil or something that is safe for the environment. Spray WD-40 on the water and watch it. Then take a drop of motor oil and drop it in the water. Looks very similar.
  8. Hey all I'm frim Gaffney, SC. That's in the upstate area about a mile or two from the NC line.
  9. I have a 1964 Crosby john boat converted with a front deck with a 25hp Merc. on it. (pic in livewell thread) Currently going to repaint it, add a rear swivel seat, live well, and lights. Maybe some new carpet. ;D
  10. ;D Thanks Bill I think you have given me a great Idea. I really appreciate it. I'll set up a work log on my bellsouth page so you guys can see the project when I start. Merry CHRISTmas everyone!
  11. Yeah I'm looking at doing a removable system. It is a 1964 Crosby john boat converted with a front deck with a 25hp Merc. on it. I'm thinking about a two pumps. One to pump into and out of the live well (tank) and one on the side of the tank for circulation/aireation. My boat. Not my pait job. I am currently working on it. When time permits and will do a better camo style.

  13. I was a member of one about 5 years ago. once a month you got a new lure and was supposed to fish it in as many ways as you could and then write a techical type report on how well it did and where. Based on your responces and how well you tested it out for them the fee was waived. It only lasted about a year and a half and then they started charging a yearly fee to keep doing it. I gave it up at that point.
  14. Denny Brauer is #1 for me. There is another show on Sports South that shows boat modding sometimes but I don't know the name of it. Kind of like a DIY for boaters. Watched them mount an in dash fish finder and made it look easy and professionally done. They also rebuilt a lower unit once. That show was taped.
