  1. Thanks, Thanks and more Thanks, for all the welcoming responses. Sounds like a great bunch of bassers, if I can't go fishing then the next best thing is reading the fourms to see what everyone is talking about, I'll jump in from time to time but not too often just when I have 2c's to contribute to the thread.
  2. Hello Everyone! I'm a newbee to the fourm. I've been bass fishing ever since I was old enough to tag along with my Dad or Grandparents, whoever was going at the time. I'm sorry to say those days were far too long ago now, but even at my current age of 56 I still think of those days often. I spent the first 27 years living and fishing in East Tenn. and moved to St. Pete Florida in 1979. I fished in some Bass Clubs in Tenn. and also after I moved here in Florida. But I haven't been active in any club for a long time, but the bass fishing bug has never left me. I also enjoy flats fising for Reds and Snook mainly because they are so much like Bass. I have and still do occasionly build my own rods but that is becoming more and more unnessary with the quality of over-the-counter rods that are available nowadays. I also enjoy making some of my own lures. To me, fishing isn't just about catching the biggest or the most fish, it's about enjoying everything about the sport from preping tackle the night before to enjoying the company of my wife or one of my friends and taking the time to watch a little bit of nature going on around us when we are on the water or just sitting on the bank as I did so many years ago. Ted B.
