Is the ledgebuster a brand of spinnerbait or a technique?
  2. Hi all, I'm new to this forum and see plenty of interesting information posted. I wanted to comment on some of what I've been reading about pro-staff, etc. Many years ago I was an "Ambassador" for Berkley and a "Pro-Staffer" for Quantum, that's what we were called back then. I fished tournaments with some success but by no means professional. So what would they want me for? I was an excellent public speaker that could give a seminar off the top of my head. I would also say yes when they asked me if I could go down to Podunk, Ohio for Bob's Bait and Tackle's Spring Fling Sale. I'd also be on my feet for 12 hours a day for 7 days at a boat show. You see, it wasn't about how many fish I caught, it was about how I represented their company and spoke of their products at different promotions across Michigan and Ohio. Same thing exists today. Back in those days we had pros like Ken Cook that would show up at Dealer only events, boat shows, whatever. They were good pitch men, safe bets, they wouldn't be caught at a strip club type people. If you want a deal be willing to work at events, work on your public speaking & keep your nose clean. Hope this will help in your quest.
