I am looking to get a fishfinder for a 17' bass tracker. Budget is $250. What do you all reccomend? I have heard some good things about the Humminbird 565, but also some bad.

Hi, I have been fishing for 2 years, and in that time I have bought 3 rods. i have a 6'6" Medium All Star Select Baitcaster w/ Pflueger Intensity 6.3:1, a 5' ultralight rod, and a 6' medum power fast action St. Croix Triumph rod with Shimano Sedona 2500FB. I am in the market for another setup. My problem is that I am discovering that most rods are specialized for different kinds of baits. I am not really sure what bases I have covered with the rods I have. Would any of you be kind enough to tell me what my rods would be best at, so I can narrow down what type of rod to get? And if you have any suggestions, my budget is up to about $130, and I would not mind getting stuff off ebay. Thanks a bunch.

I have read some things about those "fishing snakes," and although their ads look like infomercials, they do have some very large fish caught on the snakes. Has anyone tried a plastic snake? what do you think?
