  1. 'dammit you caught me. I figured I could at lest get away with that. Plus I had to work on my tan. I have a farmers tan. I do not think I would want to drive through green bay with them plates though. For some reason I could not see the picture in till I quoted you. That is even funnier. I think the packer plates are over 100 dollars. Thanks for the laughs though.
  2. That to. Them chicago fans sure are werid. First they talk with the funny little accent. Then they say da bears, cubs, or what every team they root for. To top it off there fans sit in stands with out shirts. It dont matter if its at wriggly in July, Or at soldier field in December. At Lest WI the woman sit in binkis. I would rather look at that. Then some hairy middle age fat man. Now I think the trash talking has begun.
  3. Go Badgers. But I will root for a few teams. My buddy is a major Hawkeye fan. WI use to play Iowa every year. But now its every two years. So win they play we have our own rivalry. The last time they played I was a wreck. WI scored with less then a minute. They had a one point lead as Iowa gets the ball. Iowa sent it deep in to WI territory. Just out off fg range. Iowa tried to run it out off bounds at the 5 yard line. But was tackled as the clock expired. As soon as I was sure the game was over. I was calling my buddy making fun of him and his team. I was yelling swear words and calling the hawkeyes things I can not say here. Yes I over did it. But It was all in fun. Plus I have been on the recving end of it.
  4. I cant take sports serious. Yea I will yell at the tv. I will also be bumed or happy. If my team wins or loses a big game. But no matter the out come of the game. The out come dose not effect my life. I have more important things to worry about.
  5. If the sec wins oh well. It wont ruin it for me. As long as the whole season is good. That is all that matters.
  6. Thats all right mike. At lest the saints have won a super bowl in the last 30 years.
  7. I will be ready come September. Pro ball really don't do it for me any more. So college is what I watch. You sound like every bears fan I know. I don't know how many times in my life. I have heard the bears are going to go all the way.
  8. The socks worry you. He bought sht protect. I don't think I want to know what sht ptotect is.
  9. The state record was caught in 1950. It was caught in Oneida county and was 9.1 lbs. If he caught it he would have been 4 going by the age on his profile.
  10. I have seen adds for Journeymen up here. Its usually about 20 a hour in my neck of the woods. So thanks for the info. Even if I could to it. I don't think I would. That 80 a hour in Chicago is like making 25 dollars a hour up here. Yea its that cheap to live up here. I could buy 10 acres and a three bedroom house for under 200,000. And my mortgage would still be cheaper then rent for a one bed room place. Even in the burbs. My mom lives in the burbs of chicago. She was shocked she could rent a 3 bedroom house for less then 1,000 a month up here. This is were I wish my dad was still alive. He knew a lot of people that did machining for a living. I am sure my dad and his buddy's would talk me out of doing welding or machining for a living. My dad loved welding, But like I said he was worn out and beaten.
  11. Tig is the one thing I never learned. I can braze, weld plastic, and aluminum. But tig was the one I never was taught. That is how I learned how to weld. I would find scrap metal in my dads shop. I would weld them together not making really any thing. Just to learn what I wanted to. He had to teach me how to weld the aluminum though. I will have to mess aroun with a tig when I go back to school though. I think it would be fun to learn it.
  12. I was leaning more towards the welding side. Since I know more about it. My dad was a welder for most of his life. I just do not want the life he had. When he died at 50 he was worn out and beaten. Welding is a young mans thing. Yea granted my dad looked like the strong man you see on tv pulling trucks. The strength he had amazed me. It was like he was super hero. Like I said though he was worn out. I have thought about also pipe welding. But most of them up here are mobile. I cant do that. I have grandparents I have to take care of. If I didn't I would be doing it. Family come first.
  13. As long as I dont have to do any thing hard I should be fine. I was looking at the courses I would have to take. There is only one math class. I took the same class a few years ago. But from what I under stand. It is basic math with lots of zeros and decimals. Not to hard just have to make sure every thing is in the right place. I grew up with a 60x40 welding shop for me to play in. I never really got to use the lathes my dad had. But he did teach me to use his mill. I used it to make a little hammer we had to make in hs shop. The teacher asked how I got it done so nice. I told him the truth and he laughed. I had acces to good tools why waste my time. Also my dads machines were no were near new. Most of them came from the 1800s.
  14. Well I have been thinking about going back to school for a few months now. I thought I was going to go back for welding or heavy equipment/CDL. The only reason why I didn't go back yet. I was going over the pros and cons of both. I have a pretty long list for both. I wont list them here though. This weekend I had the chance to talk to my uncle about this. This guy is like a father to me. Even in my late 20s if I do some thing dumb he acts like my dad would. So I really respect this guy. He has also been driving truck for over 30 years. So I asked him about my two choices. He said no to both. His main thing was the layoffs and unions. I have really nothing good to say about unions also. He was like if you want a good long lasting job. Go back to school for machine tooling. Around here most shops start at 20 plus a hour. Union heavy equipment start for about the same price. Welders are about 5-7 dollars a hour less. They are also union. I know when I went to school 4 years ago. The same school I would go to this time. The tools guys were going to school and working at the same time. All of the guys were getting the schooling paid for from were they worked. I really like that. Plus the school helped them find jobs. To tell you the truth I never even thought of it. I straight up told I am not sure if I have the brains for it. Hes was like they will teach you every thing you need to learn any way. So I have had the last 24 hours to think about it. I even talked to a few other family members. They think I should do it also. Tomorrow I am going up to the school to get more info on what I would have to do. Since I went to the same school a few years ago. I hope I don't have to do munch. Plus I took some courses that the tooling guys took. So is this a good choice or not. I want to pros and cons. But it seems like there is a lot more pro then cons.

That was funny as hell. I know if I tred that up here. Some redneck with a cc would shot me.
  16. Also wont he have to get a state park sticker. So he can use the ramp at Potawatomi Park. But what ever ramp you use In Sturgeon bay. They all are in great shape
  17. Yea the canal is very shallow. From shore to the main canal. It is less the a ft to 15ft. At the main canal I think it gets about 30 ft deep. Thanks to the zebra muscles cleaning the water. The shallows are full of weeds. If there are not weeds it has docks full of boats. If your fine paying a few bucks more for fishing tackle. Isay hit up the local ma and pa stores in dc. But I would not buy any thing unless needed. I hate even having to buy non fishing stuff in dc when I go over there because of the cost vs were I live. The is a wal mart target and a dunhams sports. But dont think they have munch. Green Bay or online will be the best bet. Green bay has a Gander Mt, dicks, and two fleet farms. Fleet farm might have the smallest fishing department. Compared to the first two. But you can almost get evry thing there. Since I am guessing your driving up. Depending on what route you take you will go by all three.
  18. I was going to say the same thing. But if you want to fish the canal hire a guide. you could spend days fishing it and not catch a thing. Be live me I grew up in Sturgeon bay. In the 5 years of fishing there I only caught one fish. But I didn't have a boat. Come July I would stay off the canal for fishing period. Way to many pleasure boaters. You will have to get there in the early morning if you want to fish it. The inland lakes Door county are great for fishing. Clark lake and Kangaroo lake are good. Yes Clark lake is very shallow. I remember swimming there as a kid. I mean a 10 year old kid. I could walk out a mile and it would only be to my chest. I have a web site for you. You can do searches for reports. Check out lake-link.com
  19. That is what I would do.
  20. Trq and cfms. Other then that there is nothing to worry about.
  21. Air tools will tell you what you need to know. Its usually on the box. But it is also in the instructions that come with them. If you are looking online You should also be able to see what it has online. Like herehttp://www.sears.com/craftsman-professional-1-2-in-compact-composite-impact-wrench/p-00919986000P?prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=G9 and here http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=yes&tool=power&item_ID=649131&group_ID=675927&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog and http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=power&item_ID=648086&group_ID=682871&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog
  22. I don't know munch about voodoo. But I heard they believe in zombies. I think it was some thing I heard on the history channel.
  23. Ohio I forgot about them. Yes they make great tools. I just have never used there impacts. Chicago Pneumatics are also a great brand. But since a get a 40% sears discount no matter what. I also get snap on cheap. I tend to stick to them.
  24. Hows the fishing this year? I have been way to busy and no money. Unless I get more free time and more money. I don't think I will be fishing. But that might not be a bad thing. Last year I only fished a hand full of times. Every time I went out my shoulder would hurt. I threw it out 8 years ago in high school. I just kept reinjureing it. So if I sit out this year That should give it time to heal.
  25. My top two for air tools. Snap on/blue point and craftsman. Snap on/blue cost a lot but so worth it. They have so munch touqe its not even funny. They will last for ever if taken care of. Craftsmans also makes good air tools. You should be able to get a 1/2 impact for less then 300. They dont have the balls like a snap on/blue point has. But they will get the job done. They will also last a long time. Sorry those are the only brands I have owned or used. There is also a reason why 9/10 car guys will have them brands impacts. They get crap done and take a beating.
