is there a spray can type clear coat that i could use to spray over my paint as i go that won't react to devcon 2 ton as my final coat? i use the walmart type craft paints and was looking for something to spray on to protect the lure while building or if i mess up a part i don't have to back to the beginning and start again.

does anyone know where to get the heavy long spoon blanks like are used on the joe spoons?
  11. also getting to much paint on and it not coming off, sounds like you are heating the head to hot. try not heating as much. and if that helps it will come with practice how long to heat them.
  12. the best way i have found to do this is if you powder paint your jig heads, bake them first. then if you use 1/8" weedguards take a 1/8" drill bit and drill the hole out. be careful doing this because the bit can go deep enough to hang on the hook and spin the jig hooking yourself. same for 5/32". then mix your epoxy and add a little powder paint color you are using to the epoxy and it will match great. then use a wooden clothes pin to snap on from the rear of the hook and it leaves a little v for the weedguard to lay in to hold it straight and also for a stand for the jig to remain upright. sounds like your weedguards coming off is from not getting them deep enough. i never have had a problem since i used this method. i also use the overnight devcon.
