I do pretty good at saddle brook for bass and crappie, i see carp jumping all the time but i havent really tried to fish for them.

Got this guy today at Saddle Brook pond fishing a Mepps spinner lol. Nice bass def my PB.

Any suggestions on any lakes up north that is shore fishing accessible?

Has anyone fished this area of the Passiac? I hear good things but haven't had a chance to check it out. I hear that it carries some nice size stripers. Are you able to shore fish the area or is it mainly fished by boat?

This might be a little off topic but have any of you fished Saddle Brook Pond/Dahnerts Lake ive fished both of them in the passed week saddle brook pond produced from decent bass for me but ive gotten skunked at Dahnerts three times in the past week. Thanks!

Spinning i'm new so im basically going to be using spinner baits, I don't need anything great but im sure I can find something better than what i have now. I got a $32 rod/reel combo shakespear M 5'10 from walmart, so im thinking i can get something decent out there... no? (also want to use it for salt water)

I need a reel for about $50 (thats with shipping/tax) for bass. The one i have know is crap. So I don't really know much about reels, friend suggested to go to this forum and ask for help. Appreciate it!
