  1. I believe that these forums (and many other different topic forums that i belong too) are an incredible resource of information.I think that the purpose is too inqiure the expertise and advice of veteran members. No offense to anyone, but I don't understand why some do not like it when people ask simple questions and often asked questions. It seems that if we didn't have these visitors and newbie's asking these questions, this forum board would be VERY boring and there wouldn't be anything new for any of us to read or give opinions too. Asking the same questions that you see in the list of current topics, I agree is redundant info. But if it's not right in front of you, why not inquire the knowledge of all the great people on this board. Please...I mean no offense to anyone or any one's post.....just my thoughts on this topic.
  2. I have a 2006 model and I like it very much. I had it on a extreme 6' med rod. I went to a 7' med pro finesse rod and now I love it. I throw weightless plastics with it and it does very well. I think its well worth the sale price.
  3. Thanks for all the reply's. Sounds like I have nothing to worry about. Today was about 21 degrees. No fish and my buddies musky box was stollen right out of his truck. Almost 1500.00 worth of lures and takle. Not one of our better days >
  4. I've heard that graphite becomes brittle and weakens in low temperatures. I was wondering if there is any truth to this and whether I should be concerned about using high modules rods in temps around 20 to 30 degrees fahrenheit.
  5. Yea, the Lake meade Municipality is very strict about lake access. When you enter the lake you have to give them your destination address. When I would have visitors, they would call my house to make sure I was expecting them. The fishing is excellent though. I've had many many 40 to 50 bass evenings. Lots of walleye fish fries on summer nights.More people use the lake for recreational use rather then fishing. Lots of boat traffic but not to much fishing pressure. I still have friends that live there,so I get to fish it sometimes.
  6. I've lived there for eight years. built a house outside of yorksprings in the orchards about a year ago. Lake Meade is a private gated community. The lake is not open to the public. You can fish the lake if your with someone that lives in the community. There are patrol boats and cars that do frequintly check you,but if your with a resident your good. Only lake meade residents are permitted to have boats on the lake. They check all boats at the entrence gate. If you are going to be fishing this lake, I can give you lots of information on bottom structure and shoreline structure. I also can give you info on great spots and technique's that worked very well for me over the years. This lake has a very healthy bass population and a pretty good walleye population. Crappie is huge, perch are huge.My personal best is a 8lb largemouth from this lake.Got a pic of that beast if your interested. PM me and I'll answer anything you want to know about this lake. Later, Adam
