  1. i love the originals just retired my last one this year . i havent tried the new ones yet , i just dont like the looks of the head. i have been making my own buzzbaits for about 10 years now. but i would buy a bunch of them old cavitrons in a heartbeat, i might have to check ebay right know. as for the loudness i love it, hold your rod high reel slow and hang on.
  2. I have fished with john for the last three years, in the same club and have never had a problem. You Paul are the only one who seems to have a problem with him and countless others. Fishing alone in that club is probaly the only reason your happy with it because you have problems with everyone you come in contact with.
  3. i would bring a jig you can fish it shallow or deep, drag it over pads like a frog, for largemouth or hop it along rockpiles for smallies. swim it like a spinnerbait. alround its the most versitle lure i throw
  4. I am looking to get into dropshotting and was wondering what was a good rod to get. Length action etc. Also any advice on a shaky rod. Thanks

  6. hey paul taking the for grip off was very easy , i cut the cork off put a reel in cranked it down tight and marked the threads were i wanted to cut them , took the reel out and cut the threads off using a small hacksaw . i spun the rod while cutting to avoid cutting the blank. once i had it scored through pretty good all the way around i took a pair of pliers and twisted the top threads and it broke off clean, then i slid that 1/2 off thread up to just under the bottom guide and cut it with a pair of dikes , i was surprised how easy the whole thing was Bill
