well I'm done We used conduit for the legs and marine plywood for the top. I cut the legs at about four feet but you can custom fit it to your boat. I just thought i would post this for anyone who wants a poling platform. It cost us about 120 or 130 which is way cheaper than the 200 and 300 dollar ones i have seen enjoy

yes i have learned the technique and i flip docks and trees that over hang the water so yes its pretty tight cover i had a 7'6'' and hated it for flipping so i got a short reel i have a diawa megaforce on it now

To a 14 year old it's all about popularity. No to ME a "14 year old" its about making sure I'm buying the right reel. This is all my own money that I have worked hard for just like most of you. I want to make sure I'm not going to blow it on a bad reel. I don't know much about brand name quality and I know you guys do. Therefore, I turn to you for help when I find a reel that i like. However, I'm not sure if it is a good brand or model? i respect where youre coming from. i have a large mid-priced rod collection that never gets used. why do i have these rods? "they" said the rods were great. what would help me help you is knowing what youre using now and your likes/dislikes of that gear. in your case though i dont think either reel would be an advantage/disadvantage. both brands have a great rep for quality. well the knob below the star drag adjusts the tension so you don't backlash turn it towards the tip of the rod for more and towards you for less to test it hold the rod tip at about 10 o'clock and let the lure drop the spool should turn about 1 or 2 time around after the lure hits more than that and its too lose after you get a feel for the reel then you can adjust it to your own preferences but that's good for starters also don't give up if you get backlashes stick with it i had to replace 3 or 4 spools of line when i started so you might not wanna use really expensive line ha ha LOL hope that helps : 8-)

i have never fished them but i have read the reviews from other anglers and they all say there good so try it you might b surprised

well I'm not really looking to save money I really like the fact that i can customize any rod for example I love split grips but cant get them on all the rods i like also i can put different guides on the rods. By the way has anyone seen a place that sells carrot stix blanks i was looking around for the stuff i need to get started and deiced to look for some rod blanks and cant find a carrot stix one
