  1. Thank you, yeah Gaston is a really great fun lake to fish.
  2. Slow few days down at gaston, quite cold and rainy a few days. Caught them pretty good on drop shots and jigs. First 5 minutes out I was throwin a jerkbait and had a fish just runnin it down to the boat! I thought it was going to be a great few days of some fast winter fishing when I saw that fish just beelinin for that jerkbait. Best fish went 5.02 lbs had another one about 4. Great time down there, fished deep in the 10-20 foot range, the 5 lber came out of 10 feet right next to the dam and the 4 lber and a bunch of smaller fish came on dropshots down in about 20 on mainlake points which had rocks on them.
  3. Shallow crankbaits, jigs, lizards, and SHAKEY HEADS!!!!!!!!! Last year we came down around spring break which was the first week in april and we slaughtered them on shakey heads. Specifically a black trick worm. Caught over 100 fish in 5 days up to 5 lbs. We had 4-5 banks and points where we knew they would be. Check out peahill creek, and look for the banks that get sun first.
