Anyone used Powerbait Blade Dancers?
I got some from Gander Mountain right when I started fishing but after I used them in my Grandma's pond I never even looked at them again. I also remember the retrieve was very weird looking, of course that could be a good thing when your talking about bass fishing. 8-)

How well can bass see Braid??? Need a leader??
I asked the same question recently. In my opinion I don't think you need a leader because I do not think the bass see braid that well. But I just recently switched back to strictly braided line with no leader on my football jigs. I would have to say try both setups and see which one gets you the most strikes. 8-)

I'm not real sure about the tournament or the hotels but the fishing should be good in April.

setups for Carolina rigs
I use a Quantum Burst reel with a gear ratio of 6.3:1 and a Field and Stream 7 Ft. Meduim Heavy rod. Works great for me and even though Field and Stream isn't a "top" company it is still a good rod.

suggestions for pliers?
I would get the X-Tools pliers because they float if u happen to kick them off the boat. Also they are very good quality.
