  1. I use the Polamar knot except when rigging a Carolina set-up. I've had good results with the Trilene knot on mono, but not on braided. I think the Trilene knot breaks the strands of braideds this causes it to break too easily.
  2. Small town called Malvern. Just off I-30, south of Little Rock.
  3. While I enjoy having no trouble getting a male store clerk to volunteer his help with my shopping, I do sometimes tire of being treated like a total amateur! I've been Bass fishing since I was six or seven, my grandfather and my dad both took me along anytime I wanted to go which was just about all the time. I'm no professional but have won a few local tourneys and have held my own in some of the larger ones. I own my own Ranger with a 200 Optimax, bought and paid for all by myself. Guys, just because you are talking baits, boats, reels and rods with a member of the opposite sex, please don't assume the female you are talking too is always a neophyte.
  4. Add another vote for CURADO! There may well be others as good or possibly (Gasp!) better but changing reels takes money and lots of it. When something works, I stick with it. On a 6.5 foot medium action rod, using 12 lb. line, I can tie on a finesse worm and a 2 ought hook and make 30 to 40 foot casts. Thats smooth enough for me! Mine are several years old and I sometimes think they're better now than when new.
