  1. Yeah reality sometimes sucks. The money is the only downside, but you have to admit that it's worth every penny when you feel that little tap on the end of your line. Make that every nickel, we did away with pennies in Canada a couple of years back.
  2. That would be per year. Let's see.... including $300-$350 in fees for every tourney, fuel for tow vehicle and boat, again maintenance for boat and motor and trailer, storage during the off season, boat insurance, a large variety of soft plastics and other baits and a few thousand yards of mono and braided line for a dozen reels or so. I usually re-spool fresh mono for every tournament day and braid every year. But wait there is still more to go............. Terminal tackle, motels, bad food, the odd $300 or $400 rod and reel that goes overboard because it wasn't strapped down properly while under power. So as you can see how that can all add up very quickly. So yup, 10 G's is a fairly close yearly estimate of how much I spend on fishing.
  3. The amount of money that I spend on fishing is insignificant compared to the pleasure that I derive from it. But since this is a question, I would estimate at a minimum of least 10 G's plus.

Hi all Been fishing for most of my life, probably caught my first fish at around 3 years old and have been addicted hardcore to bass fishing ever since. I am currently living in Ontario Canada but grew up in the South along the Gulf Coast. The best part was being able get out on the water year round. Sure miss those days. Kinda hard this time of year trying to get my Triton up on plane or even getting my car out of the driveway.
