  1. In your own opinion, what is the best bass lake in Minnesota? For me its Lake Minnetonka, but I might be a little bias. It does kick out 18 to 20 lbs for 5 fish all season long in the local tournaments. Pretty good for a northern lake that is frozen a portion of the year. Minnesota is often known for its Walleye and Muskie fishing, but there are some great bass fisheries around this state. Let me know what you think.
  2. Minnetonka's cover is largely weed based. Milfoil is the weed of choice for bass in this lake. It provides great cover but can grow out of control which makes it difficult to penetrate some areas in the heart of the summer. Weed lines provide an opportunity to catch multiple species of fish. I just recently purchased my first boat with a depth finder, so I am trying to find more rock based ledges which I know this lake has. Minnetonka's chain of bays provide a wide range of cover conditions if you have the time to look. If you do decide to come down let me know what you think and what seemed to work for you. Thanks. Hope this helped and if you have anymore questions, let me know.
  3. Anyone fish on Lake Minnetonka? If so, what are your thoughts on the lake and how have you been successful on it? Most of my success has come in shallow areas and docks. Just starting to look at offshore structure now that I have a depth finder. I have fished the lake my whole life and I would like to hear your opinions on what I think is the best bass lake in the Midwest. Looking forward to hearing anything you might have the say. Thanks. Colby
