Lake Marburg....Codorus State Park...PA
Well, i actually had something to get excited about last friday. I was at Marburg trolling in about 35 feet of water with a Rapala (30') Tail dancer and busted a 3lb Largemouth. We were trolling back to the ramp to go home. Kinda forgot what it felt like to reel in a nice fish.........felt good

Lake Marburg(Codorus State Park)
Wel that makes me feel a little better.........least i know its not just me having no luck at Marburg. You know its pretty bad when nightcrawlers and minnows dont entice any strikes.

Lake Marburg(Codorus State Park)
Anybody catching anything decent up there........cause i sure havent done much at all. Got about 40 -50 hours out on that lake since April and ive only caught two 2lb Laregemouths and two small bluegill. Ive thrown everything at the fish.....thinkin maybe the lake is overfished??? Getting a little discouraged :-[.

building a deck on a 14' Deep V Lund
Was thinking about building a deck/platform on my '08 Lund WC 14. Basically it would be from the very tip of the bow back to the 2nd bench. It would sit roughly about 6" - 8" below the gunwhale. I would like to put a seat on a pedestal at the center point. Antbody have any experience with this, as far as safety and tipping issues??

fish finder transducer mounting location??????
Guys, just bought a Humminbird 565 series fish finder and the only bracket in the kit to mount the transducer is the transom mount bracket. I dont really want to drill into my 14' aluminum Lund to mount this thing. Besides the other option of buying the trolling motor mount, what is the best/easiest way of hooking this thing up......

Anyone use an electronic "Lure Color Selector"? My fishing partner wants to get one but im not sure i its worth the $100 plus dollars he wants to spend. Do any of you guys use these and are they really worth the effort?

short bunk or long bunk style guide-ons???
Before i make my second trip to the lake, i wanna get some bunk style guide-ons. Which ones work better in guiding the boat sqarely on the trailer: a (low profile)5' board with brackets that mount in front of and in back of the trailer tire, or a single bracket with a 2' board that mounts towards the rear of the trailer. Im leaning towards the low profile 5' board set-up. What do you guys think??

first day on the lake with new boat...ooops!
Well, today was the day to take my new Lund WC14 out on the lake. Keep in mind here that this is the first boat i've owned. Ive rented fishing boats before that you just bring your own electric motor and batteries, hop in the boat and push off from the shoreline.....no biggie. I got to admit i was a bit nervous today hoping everything would go ok getting the boat in and out of the water. Well, before me and the wife launched the boat, i got everything ready: putting rods, tackle, food inside, removing the rear boat strap and attaching a rope with a C clip to the eyelet on the bow of the boat where the trailer winch strap attaches to. Well i pulled the boat into the water and told my wife to get on the dock. I threw her the rope which was attached to the eyelet and told her to pull the boat to the side of the dock once i pushed it off the trailer. I removed the trailer winch strap and pushed it off the trailer. She started pulling the boat towards the dock while i was walking around the truck to get back in so i could park it on the upper lot. All of a sudden i hear her yelling my name. I look back and the boat is adrift in the middle of the cove with her still standing on the dock but the rope was not attached to the boat.. . I believe in the rush and nervousness of my first launch i did not have the C clip on properly!!! A gentleman who was in a pontoon boat seen the whole thing happen and picked me up and gave me a ride to get my boat.....how embarassing. Needless to say it was a learning experience :-/.

What is the best thing to do if........
You are out on the lake in your aluminum boat and a quick storm blows in with lightning? Get to shore as quickly as possible and get out and wait for it to pass????

"New to me" Boat update
Count your blessings, that boat rolling down the driveway could have been a lot worse. As far as fitting the boat in the garage, just re-support the shelving to make room and you'll be in business. ....good luck

what to do with the fish'n rods?
Allright guys, im looking for some options........Since my boat stays in the garage and i never take any of my tackle out of the boat, im looking for some options on how to secure my fishing rods during transport. I have everything else(Oars, batteries and tackle boxes) secured. I really dont want to drill into anything, so im thinking of putting a strip of velcro on 2 of the benches, buying 2 Berkly (4 rod) holders...then putting velcro on the holders and then securing them to the benches during transport. What do you guys think and how do you transport your rods? By the way i have a Lund WC14 aluminum boat.

anchor cleat
the only problem mounting 3' aft the stern and bow is that i would have to mount them on the gunwale.......which is not flat so the cleats will not mount properly?????
