Senkos!!!!!!!!!! 1# Plastic Bait!
Tiki Sticks are made right off the west branch of Lake Fork a little north of Little Mustang. I dont think senko's will ever entirly go away, I beleive they will be a lot like tubes kind of a lost art for most but those who still use them will attest to their value.

Allow me to introduce myself!
Get a Guide i cant stress it enough and get one soon because they will probably be booked up soon. I had Richie White when i went down there and he was very good and i learned a lot. You will probably be fishing very shallow flipping and pitching to the big fish is my guess so work on that if at all possible, and good luck.

Lack Of Shallow Cover
I dont know if any of you have this type of problem i fish strip mine lakes witch are lakes made digging for coal. They have a good two feet of milfoil then sudden drop off to 15+ feet. I was wondering how to catch not only more fish but larger fish out of these lakes.

Im also going down to Lake Fork this year or the next to chace the lunkers, i went down there last year and didnt catch any wall hangers but i did catch several 4-5 pounders.

Question about timber?
There is no better cover for large bass then standing timber, try to locate the depth that the fish are relating to in general and find timber that is at that depth and you should have a productive day. Crappie have an affect on bass population because they eat the fry sized bass but on the other hand bass eat crappie to, even very large ones. Ive fished lakes that have been for the most part taken over by crappie and other panfish.

Senko Line
I fish very clear water and i prefer to use flurocarbon (berkley vanish) ive tried a lot of lines and i dont like anything with a greenish hue because i cant see it on the surface of the water and i have a hard time detecting strikes
