i think you are still lucky. here in my side of the world (philippines) a day's fishing trip may cost you almost a month's wage. much as i want to go weekly, the cost surely deprives me of that enjoyment so i rely on this forum, just close my eyes and imagine catching them lunkers with you guys.

i use zoom worms, anyone tried this too?

hello, went fishing over the weekend and i consistently unable to set the hook properly (im using brand new gamakatsu extra wide gap hook and zoom 6" u-tail worms). if ever i set the hook its not good enough for me to land the fish i do feel the tap or the bite of the fish, but my question once you feel the tap, do you immediately or instantly set the hook? or should you wait for the line to move? or should you wait a couple of seconds more before setting the hook? thanks in advance for your comments

GREAT INFO GUYS! I DO APPRECIATE IT! keep the info coming. i do feel the tap-tap but sometimes its just the bullet sinker hitting the floor. i do set it anyway fish or no fish. there was also one time that i thought i had a snag and when i was reeling it in the line just moved so i set the hook and caught one. really the bass fish is really challenging!

im a newbie with bass fishing. i tried salt water fishing. in saltwater when the fish bites it snatches and runs away with it. how about for bass using worms?
