I have a Quantum Energy PT and an Abu Garcia Black Max. I have #17 XPS Flouro on the energy for jigs and worms and finesse fishing, and #30 braid on the balck max for all my lure casting, cranks, jerks, spinnerbaits, etc.
Is the fouro line too heavy for those couple applications?
Should i use flouro on my other reel too?
I do all kinds of fishing. I am a non-boater. Here are my three rod and reel set-ups.
Casting- Quantum energy on a 7'0'' med-heavy rod. #50 lb. test braid
casting- Abu Garcia Black Max on 7'0'' med- heavy rod. #50 test braid
Spinning- Mitchell on a 6'6'' medium rod. #14 lb test mono.
I just got a couple questions. should i have strictly flouro on one casting? i plan to use the abu for long casting applications and the quantum for flipping and accuracy/ shore casting. should i have a flouro leader on one casting reel? like 20 ft of flouro leader?. anyone do this? the spinning is for light plastics and top water.
Thanks for all the help
I have been trying to tie this knot for a while and the mono i am tying the braid to always slips out. Any tips?
