look for lay downs. humps, brush, any cover will hold fish. dark worms fished slow and low. dont rush it. enjoy it good luck

you will love the dark side, im into it it here in nc. hot as h.e.l.l. here too. I usually put in at 2am and fish till around 8. very nice being out there at that time. dark worms are the ticket. tex. rigged. most fish feed at night. and do come close to shore. so hit the banks, and fish slow. let that bad boy drop, night crawlers are the best bait at night, no weight, thats if you don't mind using real bait. if i bring kids along, its the best bait. I also will drop a green light down, the kids love to watch the minnows swimming around it. then a big shadow will come by and it gets em all excited, alot of lakes that get tons of pressure during the day will be awesome at night. they lay loe during the day and party at night lol becarefull, and have fun. ps the lake i fish here is very big, if you get the time scout it out and use a gps to get there, works great for me. my spots are around 3miles from the ramp. steve

hey researcher, fishing is a way of life for most of us here, its more then a sport, it gives alot of satisfaction, from tying a knot. to cleaning a 500lb bluefin. I fly fish for salmon,steelhead,false albacore,trout/drum/stripers/shad/and bass, but casting out to a lay down with a plastic worm early in the morning with a spin rod is just as much fun as hooking a salmon on my fly rod. been fishing for over 40 years. and love it all, you never stop learning. alot like golf, lol. there's always more to learn. not knowing anything about fishing is gonna be hard for you to understand where most people are coming from, we can be a sick bunch. lol. (Do bass fisherman distinguish themselves greatly from fly fisherman in terms of attitude or priorities) not much difference, the priorities are the same. we're all looking for the battle. some would say, blue collar/white collar. (Do you have a preference) no preference here, its all awesome and rewarding. and will make a man out of ya, lol (Could you talk about a favorite fishing product ) my boat and my billy pate reel. no room for improvement there. (Are there any products you own that you would like to see improved?) my waders, they cant take the sticker bushes I walk thru. (Lastly, where (geographically) do you fish?) I fish all over, up state new york in the fall for salmon steelhead, 24th year comin up. I live in Raleigh nc, and fish falls lake for bass here in Raleigh. I fish the smith river in va for trout. the Roanoke for stripers in the spring. the nc coast for false albies.drum,cobia,and specs. hope your research goes well and we would love to hear your results.
