    No, I have had it for too long to still be under warranty. I am thinking of getting a Shimano Curado as a replacement.

    I recently had some issues with my BPS Johnny Morris not engaging the spool after casting. I figured that it just needs to be cleaned and greased because I did drop in the lake a few months ago. I took it apart to discover several pieces of broken plastic inside. One of them was one of the posts that hold the U shaped piece that holds the pinion gear (explains why the spool wouldn't engage). Why would a reel of this price range use plastic for such a critical part?
