  1. I had one used it for a couple of months and the anti reverse would intermittently stop working so I returned it. I think this was an isolated incident. I found a couple of Revo S's for the same price so I opted for those. Other than the anti-reverse problem it seemed like a very smooth and solid reel. Edit: this was a year ago and it wasn't the 7:1 ratio
  2. I've had a 7ft MH casting one since christmas and use it 2 to 3 times a week. I've had no issues. I like the rod a lot it is very light and sensitive. Look to see if the guides line up before you buy one. There were a couple in the store that had one guide that was way off.
  3. Date - 1/24/2011 Water Temp - 63 Clarity - 2ft depth - 2-3ft Lure - Baby brush hog Watermelon Magic We keep getting cold fronts and the water temperature fluctuates a lot. It was 7 degrees warmer four days earlier.
  4. Hyper worm, that's the one Thanks
  5. What was the name of the green paddle tail worm the younger guy was using in the first episode? He said what it was but I can't remember the name. Thanks
  6. I had an orra for about a month. It was very smooth and I liked the braking system, but the anti-reverse would fail at certain time so I sent it back. I am not sure if this is a common problem or just an isolated incident.
  7. I generally do best pitching smaller jigs and soft plastics towards cover which consists of grass, cattails, and the occasional dock on my home lake. Generally you will do better in the afternoon because the water will have more time to warm up as opposed to morning. I caught two and missed one this evening in 55 degree water.
  8. Zoom ol' monster because they are cheap and catch fish. I got a 7.5lber last week on one
  9. All of mine have come around the grass lately in the evening, with my work schedule that's the only time I really get to fish. They were schooling in my lake in around 6 FOW, but that was a month ago. These are all sub 3lb fish I can't seem to locate the bigger ones.

Zoom ol' monsters and Mag II's and lake fork ring worms
  11. Usually watermelon red, but lately I have been killing them on red shad for some reason
  12. You are going to be too far north for peacocks
  13. Yeah she loves it. I got a mutt from the pound about 6 months ago, she stands up on the front deck with me and watches everything. My buzzbait scared her coming across the water towards the boat the first few times she saw it, but she got used to it.
  14. I fish them weightless T-rigged, the have a great wiggle to them as they fall.
  15. There is another guy selling them for $135.90 new on ebay, of course if you can settle for slightly used it's around $10
  16. A dock on state owned water is fair game not much you can do. If you were fishing then it would be common courtesy for the other guys to go around, but if you weren't then I don't see the problem. It doesn't sound like they damaged anything.
  17. 9lbs on a Stanley spinner bait one of only a handful of bass I have caught on a spinner
  18. I texas rig them weighted and unweighted

I fish it with short pops(twitch and pause); Some people fish it with a steady retrieve like a buzzbait but I haven't had much luck doing that

Tiny in bullfrog, I have caught a ton of bass on that lure biggest was about 8lbs. It is probably my favorite topwater.
  21. I had one for a few weeks and the anti-reverse would sporadically stop working(I don't know if this is a common occurrence with this reel.) Since it was a new reel I returned it and found a revo S for the same price so I opted for the revo. Other than the anti-reverse problem I think the two reels were comparable in castability and overall smoothness. The centrifugal braking system is slightly different on the orra but both seem to work fine.
  22. I've had mine for about 4 months 7ft mh casting and I have been very happy with it. I mainly use it for pitching jigs and soft plastics. Also for fishing texas rigged worms. I also have the regular lightning rod in the same length and action the shock feels more sensitive to me using the same reel and line.
  23. looks like a norman thin n, but I am not positive
  24. Check the tackle making section
