  1. I fished the same day, Holiday though. The bite seems to get better on L67 when the wind is blowing. Hows the floating lettuce out the Big G? Haven't fished that side since early Nov.
  2. I fished Sunday also. Launched right before Bocabasser. I hadn't been there since night owls in june. I couldn't catch crap. Fished hard till 3pm. Put about 7 fish in the boat, with only one being a keeper, maybe 13 inches. Definetly not fishing the tourney Fri. And will probably skip kotg as well. Would rather go to the lake and fish Burkes, been doing good on the lake lately. That place is going to be a mad house at weigh in. Good luck to you guys fishing it.
  3. 24 on sat and 18 Sunday. I fished Gold (Sunday) and had just over 14 lbs. The lake has been tuff. Rim ditch has been more consistant.
  4. I would put my money on it that you hit a log. I was in the bear beach area sunday fishing bassbusters. I waypointed one that was just under the surface, that had some size to it. It would beat up a prop for sure, but doubt it would take the lower off. And then when we got up on plane and were running basicaly through the grass to go back to the ditch through bear beach cut, we saw another good size log sticking out of the water slightly. South of bear beach, before you get to the bottom of ritta.
  5. What a POS!
  6. Don't scalp it. Raise that deck up for a while.
  7. No didn't go all the way to the trail. Fished from 7 to 8. Hit the gator on the way in about 12:50 in the center canal.
  8. Good job there Bruce! I was the one in the Stratos/Evinrude that passed by you guys after take off and went further south. I only had about 12 pounds. Only jumped one big fish off, wouldn't have put me at 20 anyways... I caught my limit after 10:00pm. Who won, Luke or the guy in the Triton? And I definetly hit a gator, dang speed bumps lol.

Dang Luke can catch em in the day time too!
  10. http://www.bigreel.org/ A fun group. Not too big (9-12 boats avg), and a little easier on the wallet compared to some others. Basic info is on the web site. If you want more info let me know.
  11. If your interested... Big Reel Bassmasters of Margate would be your local club based out of margate. http://www.bigreel.org/
  12. Sad news for sure. Recently fished against him this past summer in a night owls tourney. RIP Billy Bob.
  13. Nice fish boys! I was out there today and it's alot lower than it was a couple weeks ago.
  14. Holy crap!!!!!!! Congrats Dude!
  15. After seeing you post on Bocabasser's thread, I have to ask. Is this Moonshine Bay? Wanna trade boats? LOL
  16. The 28th annual Ghost and Goblins tournament date is coming up on Sunday October 23, 2011 out of Clewiston. This tournament helps raise money for the "Friends of SATC Inc" (formerly Friends of Our House)helping physically & sexually abused children in Broward County. Without question, this is one of the most deserving local charities you'll find. BigReel Bassmasters, the sponsors of the tournament, has donated over $130,000 in the past 27 years. Here's a chance to help kids, fish & try to win some cash all rolled into one. The "Ghosts and Goblins" Annual Open Tournament allows bass fishermen to compete against one another while helping to support those children most in need of support. The tournament's success for the last 27 years would not have been possible without you guys. Hopefully we will see all of you guys up there this year. We are also looking to have another very good payback considering that this is a charity function. With a 60 boat field 1st place will be paying back $2,500 which is what we paid out last year. The flyers can be downloaded from the BigReel web sitehttp://www.bigreel.org). Entry fee this year is still $120.00 which includes the big fish pot. If anyone knows of a company that would like to make a donation to the charity, they can contact me at: agriff@bellsouth.net
  17. Yes! Go to their website and print out an entry form to make morning check in even faster. http://www.bigreel.org/
  18. If I don't go to the lake, I'm thinking I'll go to Lox Sun.
  19. Try night fishing in the glades in the summer time. I had 16+ lbs and a 5.30 kicker at last Fri nights tourney at Holiday.Fishing was great.
  20. I like the brown/black. Besides they are all about the same color on the belly anyways. I prefer the 3/4 oz too, easier to walk.
  21. Unfortunately the way the water is dropping right now, we might be fishing the rim canal by that time. Check on that right before your trip. If that's the case here is what I would probably have tied on. Shaky head, 10in t-rigged worm, spook, trap, crank bait.
