  1. My experience is the same. When I first used Senkos on my pond it was almost like it wasn't even fair for the fish. I tripled my catch and my buddies started fishing them exclusively. Now here it is 6 months and I can hardly get a bass to take a Senko. On clear days I can even see the lunkers, sometimes two at a time, come up to investigate the bait and then swim away. Last time I switched to a Bass Assasain jerk bait and BAM they exploded on it. I am convinced the Senko baits have imprinted on the fish. I have tried using the Senko as a jerkbait and have managed a few bass that way but the old drop technique is now a bust in this pond.
  2. FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC fish. Man I'd love to work some frogs and flukes through those pads with you. Great job on the citations.
  3. Questions: Can this be used on plastic jerkbaits and senkos to repair the rips? What about if I just save the ones that get ripped up and repair them later for the next trip? Does it seal them back up nicely so they can be T-rigged again? This would let me do the gluing in a more controlled environment and avoid the need for doing it on the boat or shore. If I use the glue to keep a t-rigged senko from sliding what happens once the worm get torn in half? Is there a buch of plastic and dried glue that needs to be picked off the hook before I can put another bait on? Thanks.
  4. I have caught 6 LM bass over 3lbs in the past 3 months on a pond that is about an acre in size. It is amazing that that little body of water can support that many large predators. And no, I am not catching the same bass over and over again because I have been clipping a fin on the big ones. I caught them mostly on watermelon 6" Senko and Big Ikas. I have managed a few on Bass Assasains. They seem to leard quickly because they are starting to pass on the Senkos when offered now. I can see them eyeballing it when they used to just slam it without a thought. Imprinting? It's a pond in a public park but nobody hardly ever fishes it because they don't think there could be anything big in it from it's size. I love watching a little tyke shore fishing for stunted bluegill with a Snoopy pole and a worm lay into a big ole bass. What a riot.
  5. I did some looking around the internet to educate myself on some of the baits that were mentioned. Very helpful. I picked up some Power Craws and tubes. I have some twister tails and I will defiinitely try the live minnows. Thanks all. I will let you know how I do this week.

  7. Hi all- I was fishing on a local river last weekend and doing just ok using spinnerbaits for smallies. I noticed that almost every one I caught was coughing up crayfish parts as I pulled them in. The river current moves along pretty good and we are drifting while casting so I don't have alot of time in any one area and the baits get swept along once in the water. What do you all suggest using as a bait when the primary source of food is crayfish and there is a current to contend with? ??? I know I could slay the smallies if I could match this food source realistically! Thanks!
