ok i really appreciae the help guys i went out last night and bit the bullet... i bought the shimano curado on a 6'6" mh cabelas brand mag-touch i havnt put it down since about 3 p.m. until just now i love it i put 15lb fireline braid and this is some smooth and yet tough stuff ;D

what about the quantum Kevin VanDam Signature Series Rod and Reel Baitcast Combo???

what do u think about the cabelas xml rod? cabelas has a similar combo...sorry im kinda new

well i was looking into spending a little more i know it sounds crazy but i bought a daiwa megaforce last summer... WHAT A PILE OF > JINK...worthless i just dont want to get screwed again

i Fish in western washington, im still kind of a rookie, and i am using hand-me-downs for my rod/reel combo ive fished with a shimano bantam b mag 1000 on a mitchell gt plus rod that my dad bout over 20 years ago...its time to upgrade... im looking into buying the quantum energy pt with the 7.0-1 gear ratio on a cabelas prodigy rod. 6'6" or 7' medium heavy. any advice on the setup? and this will be my only pole.
