  1. thats the thing i havent really used it too much yet.....maybe 10 min total and had one bite, but i was just wondering if people have had as much or more luck using this technique
  2. Dont worry about it man.....i am only 21 but i have lost more HOGS! than i can remember.... Just tonight i snapped my line on a VERY nice bass, because i got lazy and tide a horrible knot.. Things happen, and that is why its called fishing not catching. You will get your shot again guaranteed
  3. I was getting frustrated with bullet weights so i tried a shaky head jig on my craws, tubes, etc. I love how they look in the water. Is there a rule against doing this? Or do you guys use this technique? Let me know what you think Thanks, VC
  4. I live in MN and we dont have BPS. Where do you think i can pick some of these up? I have never seen them at cabelas, but we do have Gander mt and Dicks Thanks, VC
  5. So at first i started T-Riggin this bait where the hook comes out the top of the craw, but now i watched this video and like this idea... but the problem now is that is wont stay rightside up in the water.... any suggestions? Thanks, VC
  6. we dont have a BPS in MN and i dont see that one on Cabelas website, but they probably have it in the store. Thanks
  7. I am looking for something that is 0-2 ft depth...let me know what your favorite is and what color. Thanks guys, VC
  8. i LOVE the rat as far as getting the hits....i have never gotten more/bigger hits on a topwater bait but they are a little tricky to hook just because of where the hooks are located
  9. just got a large plano bag for $25
  10. never used them, but i used something similar...i just T-Rig them and give retreive/fall approach
  11. I have been using the EWG offset hook texas rig, but have lost 3 big fish already. I was wondering if there is a good weighted hook i could buy that just slides up the tube and the eye throught the top. Thanks
  12. Call me a skeptic but it sounds like there may be a couple more details. ;D Doesn't sound like warranty to me, I'd just buy a new rod. the fish got stuck in the pads so i was pulling pretty hard, but no thats what happened....i am shipping it to Fenwick today
  13. There is NO room whatsoever in my tackle box for my plastics. I was wondering a cheap but affective way of getting your plastics around with you while you fish. Thanks
  14. Since you have to send it somewhere, I'd send it to Fenwick. I've used Fenwicks warranty on an HMG that I broke and the experience was very good. Edit: I just assumed you had to send it to Cabelas. If you are near Cabelas and can drive there, I'd take it back and see if they will exchange it. luckily i live 5 min away from Cabelas
  15. I was getting a LM out of the pads and the tip of my rod just snapped....i bought it less than a year ago. Should i go back to cabelas? or should i call Fenwick? Thanks...never had to do this before
  16. I want to get your guy's honest opinion on which one of these casting reels would be better to match with my Curado. I have always used Fenwick but have heard good things about the clarus. Also what size would you get 6'6? or 7'? Thanks
  17. do you ever bullet weight them for deeper water? ive never tried it but it might work
  18. You are saying you catch more fish on painted weights than with reg ol lead color? I don't see how that would make the slighted difference to the fish. :-? if the weight blends in with the plastic you are using of course it will increase your chances of landing fish bc it will look more realistic
  19. i have heard some bad things about this bait....my friend used it and said the body of the frog is made with tough plastic compared to other brands which makes it tough to set the hook when u do get a hit
  20. I was just wondering if anyone out there paints there bullet weights a certain color to match the plastic they are fishing with. If so what exactly do you use? Thanks, Vinny
  21. they are Gamakatsu. I will probably try an offset out and see if i hook and stay hooked on more fish and i will let you know
  22. I made a thread a few days back saying i was having trouble on my hooksets...can i take my 4/0 extra wide gap hooks and bend them in to make offset? will this do the job? Or will i just have to buy all new hooks (cuz i have alot of wide gap)
