Best Lures For Small Lake With Weeds And Algae
I fish a lake pretty often that has tons of grass, but with it comes toms of algae. Almost every cast I am removing moss from the lure. I have had some success with flukes and senko's, but I really can't find anything else to produce that well. I have tried a frog from time to time without much luck. Lots of big bass in this lake. I have caught a 5, 6, and 7 pounder out of here in the last yr. Any lure or unique presentation suggestions?

5" - 6" Hollow Belly Swim Baits
Question here. What's the best way to throw a hollow body around grass? What swim bait hooks are the best, etc? Also, what kind of line do you use / size? I haven't really embraced the swim bait craze, but from reading on here and seeing people catching a lot, I think I need too. Just looking for some help/ advice. Thanks.

Mono Vs Braid For Topwater Flukin'
I think I am going to try one more experiment. I am going to switch rods. Both rods I have re MH 6'6" but one has a little more backbone than the other. Also, I may try to go down in reel speed. I was using a 7:1 with braid and should probably use a 6:4:1 or 6:2:1 with the braid. I think the low stretch and fast reel were hurting me on my hookups. My mono reel is a 6:2:1 and it does fine.

Flukes
I like to stick with zoom super flukes. Tried others like some on here and keep coming back to these. As far as the hook tearing up the bait, try rigging it up a little higher on your line. I usually push mine a little ways past the line tie. I can usually get 5-7 fish per fluke. Sometimes more. However, with braid it seems i tear them up a little quicker than with mono.

Mono Vs Braid For Topwater Flukin'
Did something different today. I have been using mono as my fluke line and haven't been missing many fish.... Really none that I can recall. This morning I tried braid. The only reason for the change was I thought it would help me stay in top of the water more than the mono. I think it does do that, but I think the extra stretch with the mono was helping my hook up ratio. It could have just been a bad morning.. Cause the fish weren't as aggressive as usual. I'll try the braid again and see if it was the slower bite or me just being to quick on the trigger. What do you guys use for flukes when you are working them fast across the top/ grass?

Best Lure Choice For In The Morning?
Zoom fluke it was. They weren't as aggressive as usual, must have been the little cold snap we had here. Only caught 7, but missed two good ones and 3 others. Did something different today. Best Lure Choice For In The Morning?
I have a farm pond I am fishing in the morning. We just a Had a cold front come thru and it's going down to 50 tonight. I want to be up early and on the lake early before sunrise. Curious to what some of your thoughts are on the best lure choice. This lake has good grass on the banks, but also pretty think with algae. The fish are in there.....no doubt. I caught a 5 plus on Wednesday out of the grass. I have never caught a fish there on a frog....in the grass....crazy stuff. Only on swim jigs, worms, lizards, senkos, and flukes.

Jig Fishing Question......
I like flouro on my jig rods, except for flipping heavy cover I use braid. I can understand the finger thing because I used to do it all the time on Texas rig and jigs. That was with mono and the feel wasnt that good with mono. now with low stretch flouro and braid, the finger isn't needed as much. I still use the finger, but not nearly as much as I used too. I use it more now for weightless rigs (senkos, flukes, etc) with flouro. I wouldn't think there is a need to change reels.

Lucky Craft Gunfish
I would like to hear everyone's opinion on this lure. I have heard many good things about them, but never tried one. I have been solely using spooks and Sammie's for my topwater and was curious if these are better. From the reviews I have read online, they seem to be the premier tops water bait. If some of you rate these pretty Hugh, what size and colors do you prefer? Thanks BB

Kvd Swim Jigs
That's what I was thinking. You are probably right. I did notice the hack attack swim jigs never had rattles and was curious to why kvd jigs had them, seeing there both made by strike king.
