  2. 7# flathead catfish on a plastic worm bluegills on crankbaits, and this doesn't really fit the thread, but..... I caught a bass fishing for catfish with a chicken heart. :-?
  3. I use wire cutters, followed by a little filing to smooth it out. The chunks are much easier to contain, and I suppose as long as the heads are unpainted you can re use them if you pour your own.
  4. Hi all. New to this site, and fairly new to Texas. I grew up fishing stained/muddy lakes and creeks in Indiana from the bank, canoe or jon boat. Here in Texas I mainly bank fish the ultra clear water of Lake Travis. I confess I miss the flooded timber and mystery of the murky water. The fishing here is a bit tougher, but the size trade-off keeps it fun. Having an ultralight rig along for panfish keeps it exciting and really helps when it's way too hot to be outside and the bass aren't biting. Any way....tight lines...
