    the short story: I moved October 1st across the street from a nice lake. I have not been fishing since I was a kid 30+ years ago. I took the kids out this spring and we had fun catching lots of blue gill and crappie. Then... I caught my first LM Bass! I was instantly 'hooked'! 4 rods/reels later, I have become obsessed with fishing with plastic worms. I have landed around 40 of them in the last week, anywhere from little 6-8" babies (?) to nice ones in the 18-20" range. How old are bass that are in the 6-8" length range? I am wondering if they were born this year or last? Thanks for all the helpful info here!!
