    Your best off focussing on bluegill until it becomes legal to fish for bass. The opening of the catch and release bass season in Michigan is the last Saturday in April (23rd). It is illegal to target bass before the season opens. I'd hate to see you lose your equipment and get a big fine for fishing too early. We are all chomping at the bit here to get out and catch a bass. DW
